I would not recommend Wilsons Alfa Romeo because when I collected the car, I found a fresh scratch on the newly painted offside rear door. The car had not been cleaned thoroughly, there was still dog hair in the boot (discussed with the sales person before collection). One of the Veloce badges had been damaged and the other Veloce badge is falling off. A plastic trim cover was missing from the boot, previously discussed with the sales person.
All of the above is easily rectified, but the communication from Wilsons has been poor. I'm still awaiting a response from my last email to ensure the second Veloce badge has been ordered and the car can be rectified in one visit.

I had a great experience at Wilsons Alfa Romeo because because the whole process was very easy and I found the car that suited my needs and budget.

Firstly I would like to say that Sophie, the Sales Manager, was excellent in her role and her advice about the purchasing a new car was exactly what I was hoping for, i.e. no pressure and only giving advice to me about this car and another that I was interested in. I was also looking to use my existing car as part exchange. She put me in touch with her colleague Fraser who offered me advice which led me to an informed decision about finance. There was no pressure on me, and the purchase went through smoothly. I was very impressed with both Sophie and Fraser, and it was my decision to purchase this particular car. Overall, the Sales Department were first class, and I am grateful to them for their attitude.
However, After Sales is a different story.....
The next day, I had a concern regarding the tyres. The two front tyres appeared to have a lot of mileage compared to the rear tyres. I raised this with Sophie and asked for this to be looked into. She gave the correct response in that she could offer no opinion herself, but would consult with one of the technicians and one of Wilsons' Directors. Again, she had a very good and professional approach to a customer concern and invited me back to Wilsons to resolve this.
When I brought the car in, I was shocked by the response from the director, Spencer. He treated me like an idiot and he responded with comments such as "You've driven the car, of course they don't look like new", "It's a front wheel drive, what do you expect?", "There's nothing we can do" and then turned his back on me to make a phone call. The Technician, Kundai, was more sympathetic and offered that I bring the car back another time to examine the tyres and check the tread depth. But by then I had lost all faith in Wilsons due to the Director's attitude. If I have any concerns with the car or when it requires service, I will now be looking elsewhere. I spent over £25,000 on a brand new car at Wilsons and went away insulted because they feel that I do not know what the tyres on a front-wheel drive car should look like after 15 miles of driving. I should clarify that is 15 MILES IN TOTAL, not 15,000 miles.
So, to summarise:
Sophie the Sales Manager. She was excellent. No pressure on me to make a purchase and it was my decision to purchase the car.
Fraser in Finance. He offered me advice about part exchange. Again, no pressure, and thinking about it afterwards, he gave me the correct advice. I made the correct decision.
After Sales. This is different. They treat you like an IDIOT. You visit them with a concern and you leave with the words "We've got your money, NOW GO AWAY"
I would have been comfortable in taking my new car back to Wilsons for service, MOT etc (remembering that I have already given them over £25,000). It was a very smooth purchase and I trusted them on that day.
Next day however, I changed my mind and I will NOT be returning.
